Use Case - Personal Notes

I use noodle as my mind temple. It’s what I use to understand myself and the world around me. I suppose this is the primary use-case of noodle. It’s what the features are designed for.

I have something of a spontaneous methodology I’ve come to use which I’d like to share here.

Brain Dump

This is the first step in how I use noodle. Just drop whatever’s in my head. Sometimes it’s long and rambly. Other times it’s just an idea.

I usually do this on my “map” layer which is just a generic layer that isn’t base where I tend to add things.

Mapping

This is when I try to understand a concept by relating it to ther things. It’s separate from brain dump because I’m actually trying to choose good names for doodles and intentionally place them somewhere that makes sense.

Creating

After I’ve broken down a few concepts, I’ll create new abstractions that come from my own understanding. Noodle allows me to easily interrelate disperate concepts.

Refining

A lot of the work I do in noodle is choosing better doodle names, shifting meanings of doodles, and consolidating redundancies. To me, noodle is primarily a tool for discernment.
